Here we make room for passions!
Is the bicycle your passion and unfailing travelling companion?
Tuscany is increasingly becoming the destination for those who want to do quality cycling to discover the hills, countryside, or mountains, choosing between nature, art, gastronomy, and culture.
In Vicopisano you can relax on the saddle and choose the route that suits you best: if you prefer a leisurely pace, you can stroll along the cycle paths that allow you to stop off in Vicopisano, San Giovanni alla Vena and Lugnano, and to flank the ancient river route that connects Uliveto Terme and Caprona. If you are sporty and you are looking for places where you can do your daily training and challenge your limits, the mountain bike trails that wind along the slopes of Monte Pisano, with different levels of difficulty, gradient and duration, are waiting for you.
By yourself or with your family
The area is perfect for real bikers, thanks to the mild climate and the proximity to the sea, which make it accessible all year round. In winter you can easily reach the 1000 metres of Monte Serra (but it rarely snows) and, even in summer during the hottest months, the area is well ventilated and high temperature are not reached when you reach the height of 400/500 metres.
This is why the whole mountain and especially Monte Serra is increasingly frequented by off-road and road cyclists, and is the protagonist every year of several important sporting events (for amateurs and professionals).
For families: who like to go for pleasant bike rides in total peace and safety, Vicopisano is perfect for visiting on two wheels, thanks also to a long and safe cycle-pedestrian path that runs from the Torre degli Upezzinghi in Caprona to the Rocca del Brunelleschi in Vicopisano: 18 km of pure wonder!
